Summary of the Top 5 Best Budget Hotels in Paris – A Brief Overview

I understand how stressful it can be to make the right choice for your accommodation, especially in Paris. In the guide below, I am about to share my list of my favorite best budget hotels in Paris so that one does not need to use all the money for accommodation when visiting the beautiful city.

Summary of the Top 5 Best Budget Hotels in Paris - A Brief Overview

  • Hotel Darcet
  • Hôtel des Arts Montmartre
  • Ibis Budget Paris La Villette
  • Hotel du Champ de Mars
  • Le Relais Montmartre

These hotels made my list because they provide superb service, have cozy rooms, and are also located in excellent places, all for good rates.

Hôtel Darcet – The Affordably Charming Hotel in Paris

Situated just a few footsteps away from the Place de Clichy, my first visit to Paris saw me at the Hotel Darcet. What I cherished most about this place was their exceptionally helpful staff.

The first time I set foot in the facility, there was a warm reception. The room is basic, however, it is relatively tidy and in good working order, which is just what one needs after a day aboard the city buses and trains and carrying around heavy backpacks full of purchases.

But the best part? No, let’s put it this way, there is hardly any walking distance to cover to get to Montmartre and Moulin Rouge. If you want to experience a real Parisian vibe at a reasonable price, this is the place for you.

There even exists a common kitchen where those frugal travelers can prepare some of their most desired dishes.

Hôtel des Arts Montmartre – Escape the Dusty Cities with a Cute

The decor of the Hôtel des Arts Montmartre situated towards the other end of the eclectic Montmartre districts offered a refined and art loving experience. If you watched Amélie, this hotel is around this area that you will want.

In the morning, I would buy a croissant at a local bakery and take a walk around the stone streets of Montmartre that had an artcline.

It would be wrong to compare the hotel to budget accommodation, except maybe to a loving home. Assistance was always there, and they provided such gorgeous tips on every place one could visit

You have small, but really comfortable rooms, and they have made excellent use of the available area. This is an excellent choice if you are an art enthusiast or are simply looking for a quiet neighborhood to relax after a day of activities.

Ibis Budget Paris La Villette – No-Frills but Comfortable

Going through reviews, if you are interested in a low cost hotel that is also clean and efficient the spot is Ibis Budget Paris La Villette

Yes, it is a chain hotel but at least you know what you are about to get which is a cheap and clean accommodation. This is very convenient especially since you are out the whole day and all you need is a bed to sleep in.

Some properties are near the Canal Saint-Martin, while others are somewhat off the beaten tourist areas, but the metro is close, and it is simple to get around the city’s metro.

Hotel du Champ de Mars – Steps from the Eiffel Tower

Is the Eiffel Tower the key landmark for you? The views are no better than at Hotel du Champ de Mars. This is a darling little hotel which is only a few minutes walk from the famous monument.

I remember waking very early one day, going to a cafe nearby and buying some coffee, and then heading to the Champ de Mars park to wait for the sun to rise over the Eiffel Tower. Those were the things that I would describe as pure heaven.

Hotels in such a particular area are quite a surprise in terms of price. Rooms are small (which is normal for Paris) but nice. Well, this is Paris after all, and it has its own charm without any effort in this direction. Also, there are lots of nice little bistros and shops that are just a short walk from the hotel.

Le Relais Montmartre – A Budget-Friendly Hotel with a Touch of Class

Le Relais Montmartre is one of my favorite lodgings for one main reason: it is kept in a perfect area which is quiet. Although it is quite at the higher end cron of best budget hotels in Paris, it is really deluxe.

The interiors are so beautifully done and beds are so comfy, and have tucked away an adorable small terrace where you can rest away from the noise of the city.

I do think so, as this hotel is perfect for those who wish to have some peace from a five-star hotel, where a romantic weekend is spent in a different room. What is more, you are in Montmartre, which means that you will eagerly spend your days in search of bohemian streets and funny little cafes.

Personal Experiences

Sleeping in these best budget places to stay in Paris did not only provide me with basic facilities or even out of the weather, rather it enabled me to bond with the locals, find the things that tourists do not, and experience the real life in Paris without the enormous price.

Personal Experiences

What I found fascinating is that each of these hotels had a different feel—for example, when I was walking through the charming streets of Montmartre or when I watched the Eiffel Tower’s silhouette from my room, I enjoyed the feelings of each stay.

I was also well aware of the fact that these hotels are popular among the locals and the international tourists, as this always adds to the effect. Abating the advantage, once you step into France and order a coffee, don’t expect to be the only foreigner in a cafe.
