Concrete Jungle
With its bohemian vibes and its unique shop offerings, Canal St Martin provides an altogether different feel. When discussing photography in the Paris context , there is definitely mention of its cafe culture. 19. Bateaux Mouches: Riverboat Views
A Unique Milieu
One of the exciting things to do in a city is to ride a boat on the river, and while doing that in the Seine on the Bateaux Mouches, I was thrilled to have a new perspective of the Paris landmarks as the water gave a new reflection of the city, which is quite different from the land. It’s the best way to enjoy a different side of Paris.
20. Seasonal Changes: Autumn Leaves or Spring Blooms
Nature’s Artistic Hue
In addition, do not hesitate to bring the camera with you during the seasons of change in Paris. Because the city changes with every season, I took pleasure in taking great photographs throughout the year.
My Personal Experiences: As Photographer’s Insight
Wonder and excitement filled me during the whole journey and all the places marked different feelings: feelings of nostalgia while glancing at Notre-Dame, feelings of joy at a laughter captured in Montmartre while balancing the running grandchildren, and feeling of peace during the idle walks by the banks of the Seine.
I found myself sometimes coming into contact with some of the foreigners and they would tell me some of the places they would like me to visit. Other tourists were all too interested to contribute by way of explaining how best I can take photographs.
Locals and Tourists Thoughts: A Shared Passion
As I have said earlier, there is no boundary when it comes to the love of Paris and this is the most interesting thing about photography in Paris. Both Parisians and visitors cherish and love this wonderful city.
More than once, I found myself in discussions with other photographers and artists where ideas, inspiration and sometimes even techniques were exchanged. It is a small world since art knows no boundaries.

The best photography places in Paris do not comprise only of the prominent places, but they include many lesser known places and events as well that are equally significant. My Observational Tips
- Optimum Hours: Try to arrive at well known places outside their peak hours for less queues.
- World of Shapes: Never be ashamed to ask different angles for your picture.
- Talk to People: Tell someone you are a traveler and ask them where they think are the undiscovered places.
- Live The Experience. Some moments in life are so marvelous so not taking a picture and allowing yourself to feel the moment can be a great idea.
So grab your camera and an opportunity to roam around in Paris. I assure you, you won’t be disappointed!
